SYNOPSIS

Ivan designs and constructs large scale hybrid IT and OT cyber range and conduct cyber exercises for clients in the public and private sectors in Singapore. Most modern cyber defence stakeholders are looking to harden their defence in totality, and this comprised of both their IT and OT environments. The cyber exercise objective is to better understand TTPs and mindset of the attackers in order to better defence their critical infrastructures. In this talk, he will discuss the common TTPs used by different local and international Red Teams from the cyber exercises conducted using the realistic ICS testbeds located at iTrust, centre for research in cyber security.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Ivan LEE - iTrust

Ivan has 20+ years of Technology experience having started his career in Accenture. In iTrust, his focus has been on contributing to the cyber security and safety of part of Singapore’s critical infrastructure, including IoT platforms. He engages local and overseas partners for Red and Blue teams knowledge and technology exchange (NATO CCDCOE, US Idaho National Laboratory, government agencies and private entities). Ivan is passionate in Red Teaming engagements includes representing and co-leading Singapore in NATO CCDCOE Crossed Swords and Locked Shields (Offensive and Defensive) and International Critical Infrastructure Security Showdown (CISS) as lead for Red and Green teams.
