Having an insurance policy that is expressly dedicated to covering cyber-related incidents is critical, but unfortunately, not everyone is able to understand cyber insurance policies.

In this talk, let us learn about the ins and outs of cyber insurance and using real-world examples to have a better understanding the scope of cyber insurance policy covers when a cybersecurity incident takes place.

Presenters' Bio:
Andrew Mahony: Head of Cyber Solution, Risk - Asia (www.aon.com)

  • Andrew leads Aon's cyber practice in Asia. He has over 12 years of experience advising organisations in APAC to better understand their risk exposure and how risk transfer solutions can be tailored to address their needs. He also advises on complex claims and policy wording efficacy across financial lines insurance policies. 

  • Andrew has worked with clients across a range of industries including finance, technology, retail, aviation, marine, manufacturing and telecommunications throughout Asia.  He is recognised as a cyber risk thought leader, having delivered workshops and tabletop simulations throughout the region on the evolving cyber threat landscape and cyber insurance market trends.

  •  Before joining Aon in Singapore, Andrew was a Senior Associate at a leading Australian insurance law firm.  As a lawyer, Andrew provided coverage advice to major insurers and defended third party claims, specialising in professional indemnity, and directors' and officers' liability.
